These types of programs can be very useful to those in Wilson Creek who must continue to work or attend school. Programs for outpatient treatment vary depending on the patient’s needs and the facility but they can consist simply of attending an community 12-step group, to a more structured outpatient program typically meeting a couple of times every week for a couple of hours at a time or, intensive out-patient(IOP) which consists of a highly structured group program that meets 3 to 5 days a week for a few hours at a time.

Attending outpatient treatment is different from inpatient treatment in that you are not under constant supervision, you still live at home and requires strict self discipline. For those who fear they may give in to the temptation of alcohol in the early stages of treatment, inpatient residential treatment at a Wilson Creek Alcohol Rehab Center and Alcohol Detox Facility is recommended.

Quick Drug Facts

Alcohol is the number one drug abuse problem for American Youth.
What are THIQs? The technical name for these is "tetrahydroisoquinolines". According to a 1970s theory, THIQs are formed in the brains of alcoholics when they drink. THIQs have opioid-like pharmacological qualities, and presumably alcoholics became addicted to THIQs formed in their brains, rather than to alcohol itself. The theory generated many years of research, during which methods to measure tiny quantities of THIQs in humans were developed. However, scientists have had a difficult time finding THIQs consistently in alcoholics compared to non-alcoholic people. Thus, this theory has fallen out of favor among most scientists.
An estimated 1,700 college students between the ages of 18 and 24 die each year from alcohol-related unintentional injuries, including motor vehicle crashes.
Alcohol does not relieve depression - it makes it worse.
